API Ammonia Test Kit

Taking a few minutes each week to maintain and monitor aquarium conditions is the key to a healthy aquarium.  

Tropical fish continually release ammonia into the aquarium through their gills, urine and solid waste.  
Uneaten food and decaying organic matter also adds ammonia to the water. 

Even small amounts of ammonia stress fish; large amounts of ammonia will kill fish.

Ammonia is the number one killer of tropical fish.

The API Ammonia Test Kit is mercury-free, salicylate test for fresh and saltwater fish. 
Measuring ammonia levels from 0 to 8 mg/l.

Use the test kit several times a week for 4-6 weeks when you start a new aquarium, and then use it weekly for monitoring or when problems occur.

Instructions:

Fill glass test tube to the indicated line with aquarium water.
Add 8 drops of test solution 1 and then follow with 8 drops of test solution 2.
Cap the test tube and shake well.
Let the test tube sit for 5 minutes, before comparing to the colour chart.
